February Cycle for me…

FacebookTwitterGoogle+EmailShare

It looks like I will not be cycling in January like I thought I was. Estrogen levels went up today, and the lining was still pretty thick. So now I will just be waiting to start another period. Once it starts I will go in and pray that things seem “normal” again. I have had many set-backs before, but never had trouble getting a cycle started. This is a new one to even me!!

We were really getting excited about the cycle, so it is discouraging. But I keep reminding myself that everything worked out for the best in the past, and I assume it will here too. I really don’t feel good about myself right now; eating too much over the holidays, not excercising, etc….maybe this will give me a little bit of time to get my body into an ideal condition for conceiving. If you are cycling in January or Feb I would love to have cycle buddies. I can’t be too sure when exactly I will be cycling, but I would love to support anyone in the process. Good luck to everyone still trying. Check out IVF Success Program for ways to improve your IVF chances.

Praying that you are a lucky first timer! You are right that it does take many people a few times before having success, but there are many people who get lucky the first time around, hope you are one of them!!! No matter what you have to go through, it will all be worth it in the end. Good luck to you. I hope you will come back and let us know how it goes.

    Hello there.

I am about to undergo my first (ever) short course IVF in the next week or two(waiting for period to arrive). We will have to do ICSI /IVF since my husband has severe Male Factor Infertility and he had a PESA done last week – thank goodness we got 1,8 million sperm with 25 – 30% motility – which means we have around 360 000 swimmers from which to choose. : )

I would love to have someone to chat to over email about my cycle – since we are not telling anyone except immediate family about what we are going through.

All the best for your cycle and holding thumbs for a sibling for your little miracle baby boy!

Hi, welcome to my blog!! We have had to do ICSI as well, and had sperm retreived once, but it was a bust. He ended up having to give a sample the “normal” way, after going through the horrible process of having them retreived!! So….that is great that y’all have sooo many sperm to choose from. I am still waiting on AF to come and then will be cycling (as long as my baseline appointment goes normal).

I would love to chat with you and answer any questions you may have about the IVF process. Good luck to you! I hope you are a lucky first timer!!! Here is my email if you would like to get in touch….brit16@suddenlink.net….also feel free to come to the blog and leave comments. Your questions are helful to others as well. Good luck!

  3. February Cycler?

Hi! I just found your website. Even though my RE said everything was fine on both of us (unexplained), I went through 6 failed iui’s, some with clomid, and am now preparing for IVF. I had to have a cyst removed first so I could tolerate the stronger fertility meds without pain. I had the cyst removed on cycle day 12, but my period never came on day on day 26/27 like I was expecting. Has anyone ever heard of a cystectomy affecting the cycle? Now I’m just in limbo waiting for my period trying not to get my hopes up.

I can relat to the issues with the cyst. I have not had mine removed or drained but I think that may be the next step. But I can say that my cyst is making my period completely crazy! I always have “normal” cycles but since the cyst I have not had a normal period yet. I think what you are experiencing is probably pretty normal. The cyst causes your hormones to do abnormal things and even though it is gone it may take a bit to get back to “normal”. But I would call your RE and see what they have to say. Maybe they can give you a better idea of what to expect. Good luck to you!!! I hope you period comes soon! Feel free to comment anytime you would like, I love being able to support people going though IVF.
